To be honest I thought it was extremely cringe worthy and did not enjoy the book. The main character is pretty dim- I mean she tried to return the extra pastries she was given in “accident” and pay for them. Like come on, just take it and move on. And she assumed they just couldn’t count and that it happened to others and the business would do bad. Also once the *kinda spoiler alert* earthquake happened and she went to check on her friends in text I hated it. The way it was done and so repetitively- I also had no attachment to the characters as the book was short and didn’t care about others. Honestly the chef was my favorite but even he was lacking. The immediate switch and passion came out of nowhere and it was unnecessary.
