Cut by Patricia McCormick

3.0

Well I read this in just a few hours. It was a very small book for the subject topic it deals with. I was a bit underwhelmed with how the subject of cutting was handled. It wasn't talked about much and the author seemed to skirt around the issue all too frequently. I would have liked the writing to be a bit more blunt and straightforward than what it was. I was anticipating the book to end a certain way--kind of a reveal of what's happened to Callie--and it just abruptly ends with really no resound resolution. I wouldn't recommend this one unless you know someone personally who has struggled with cutting or have cut yourself. It's not even triggering for someone who has cut I don't think. Again, highly anticipated and extremely underwhelming ending.
