Now I’m a scary bitch. I don’t do well with horror movies, tv shows (except for American Horror Story) so I typically don’t migrate towards horror novels. But, I wanted to give this book a good girl try simply because I’ve heard so many great things about this book and it was something different.
I devoured this book within 2 days while I was at work. I love that this book was based in Charleston, South Carolina. I was born and raised there and it was really nice to read about the city I was raised in and knowing the different landscapes that the author mentioned in this novel.
This book was very trippy. It wasn’t as scary as I expected but it was a really good read. Pumpkin kind of reminds me of Charles Lee Ray lol. This book also made me remember when me and my family lived in a haunted house for over 10 years. I remember having dolls in the house and I always felt like the dolls would follow me with their eyes and I hated living in that fucking house. Anyways, this was a good horror novel and I may try to read some more in the future.
