Very entertaining and exciting. Wonderful action, adventure, and court intrigue. The characters are developed nicely, relationships formed in ways that felt real. The world unfolded as I read and I was incredibly drawn in. I look forward to the next book in the series and I hope it it just as good!
This book checks a lot of boxes, strong female lead - with flaws and secrets, strong and defined side characters that exist within the story and have lives outside of just popping up for a comment or two (I hope and think they’ll be even more prevalent in future books), no rushed romance!!! (This was HUGE!), and the story ends leaving me wanting more and eager for the sequel.
