I didn’t like this one as much as The Henna Wars, but that’s probably because Hani and I share a lot of flaws so I tended to get really annoyed with her… “Hani you non-confrontational queen, your friends suck eggs! Get new friends! Stand by a boundary for a change!”
Yeah I tended to feel that Ishu got the raw deal here. 😂 But it was still a fun read, full of personality and blunt takes on racism and colonialism that I was glad to see.

Moderate: Racism, Biphobia, and Toxic friendship
Minor: Outing
This book includes scenes of a child being disowned by their parents.
