The Mother of All Questions by Rebecca Solnit
4.0
Solnit's follow-up essay collection to "Men Explain Things To Me" continues its exposure of gender dynamics, from how women are silenced to the harms caused to both women and men by gender stereotypes to pushing back against criticisms of childlessness (which made me laugh and nod enthusiastically given recent "childless cat lady" comments). It doesn't age well in all cases (ex. commendation of Louis C.K) and it didn't necessarily get at a ton of new ideas for me, but I enjoy her voice and writing style.
