I read this book for the first time in high school, and it was hard to put down then. I got very much caught up in the suspense. Turns out, even many many years later, I still very much have a hard time putting this book down. I give it 4 stars (I gave the first 2 books in the series 5 stars), mostly because I find this book so mentally difficult to enjoy. It’s so dark, violent, depressing most of the time—but I guess that’s absolutely fitting when you consider the events that take place. I’ve probably read it a few times in my life, I’ll likely read it again. Same goes with the whole series.
