A round of applause for books that include a recap at the beginning!!
This was definitely the best book in this trilogy. The only thing that kept it from being 5 stars for me is the unnecessary deaths. It’s like the author was like, well it’s a war, I should probably kill off at least someone… It didn’t forward the story along at all and it wasn’t even that upsetting. I found myself annoyed instead.
Now onto the good stuff!
The TENSION, forced proximity, the BETRAYAL, and the slow unraveling of what we thought we knew about the fey.
The spice is minimal, but you will be rooting for our FMC and MMC.
Also can we just say that our FMC’s dad is DELIGHTFUL? Absolutely the funniest part of this book.
And can we also appreciate that the ending of this book wasn’t an epilogue about how everyone lived HEA? It ties up all the loose ends, leaves a smile on your face, and allows for more books to be written in the series about different characters. These characters have finished their story, but it’s open enough that any future stories written in this world could have them pop back in.
Does this book have a HEA?Yes, Nia and Talan get their HEA.
