Audiobook (audible) - interesting shifter/human mating romance.

Sadly they were not allowing human/shifter pairings, fated mates or not which really seems unrealistic given how much their animal half craves their mate once found/recognized. Like how has this not become an issue before especially when there are so many who have found human fated mates. Better back story/world building to go into that more and maybe have others who’ve suffered consequences for having a human mate which is illegal. Obviously they’re not rendered impotent to anyone but their mate but no real mention of how painful or extreme difficult it is to pair with someone else knowing their fated mate is out there. Leave a bit of a large story gap.
