This book is what I wanted divine rivals to be! I heard it described online as having peaky blinders vibes and I find that accurate. I’d almost call it magical realism. The characters are interesting and unique, their motives will keep you guessing, the ending is a huge cliffhanger so I wish I’d waited closer to book 2 coming out but I’d just heard so much hype I had to read it asap. It didn’t disappoint!
