I read the book many years ago but it still sticks in my brain as one those books you will forever remember. I was very bored with the section of letters from Nettie in Africa but that could have been my age at the time of reading it. The movie does not compare but is a good try. I would recommend this book to all, it will certainly be one of the great reads of generations to come.
