maybe 3,5? i think the biggest issue was that my expectations were a little too high. i adored the setting, the atmosphere, the relationship between the father and son. however, it did get repetitive at times and while i enjoy a quiet, slow story where not a lot happens, the monotony was a bit of a mood killer here. then again, i suppose monotony is kind of a given in an apocalypse - and i did finish the book in one sitting ! so there's that
