I’ve never read an age gap where the heroine was older and the hero was that young. There were parts that made me uncomfortable, the caretaking role being blurred in one case with mother(i understand it’s an expectation in the age gap trope though), but overall I liked it. Sometimes I felt like he really needed some deep therapy instead of this, but it’s a book so it works out. Their dynamic was interesting and at points hot. He’s not nearly as cruel as I expect in a revenge/bully romance. He doesn’t even truly start out wanting revenge until the opportunity presents itself. Even then it’s sort of like he’s a little mean and sees that she’s into it so they keep going. Still I’m always a fan of two sides being exactly what the other needs.
