The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix

5.0

I really enjoyed this book which was a surprise because I thought maybe it wasn't going to be for me at the very beginning. Still, I stuck with the story and found that I liked reading about a main character with tons of flaws and obvious trauma that hasn't left her behind. I also enjoyed the dynamic that we got to see with the other final girls. I'm nowhere near the level of horror buff Hendrix is, but what references I did catch felt clever, and I'm always a sucker for getting snapshots of mixed media such as letters, documents, and more which we got in between the chapters. Not getting into spoilers but the lead up to the ending tied everything up nicely and made me want to reread the whole thing again. My final rating is roughly 4.5 stars, rounded up.
