Seeds of Sorrow by Elle Beaumont, Christis Christie

4.0

Thanks to Booksirens and publishers for this eARC of Seeds of Sorrow.

Seeds of Sorrow is a Hades and Persephone retelling.
Eden has been sheltered and longs for freedom and adventure. Draven is the King who is feared among humans for having a ruthless reputation.
A meeting and unfortunate connection throws Draven and Eden together.
The adventures that Eden wants suddenly becomes real and she begins to realize that not everything she knows about him and his world is true.
I loved Eden and Draven. They are so different, yet they fit together so well. I like how much Eden grows over the course of the story, from shy and timid to empowered and confident. Draven is a super swoony character, though morally questionable. There’s so much chemistry between Eden and Draven, the way their love story progresses from a forced marriage to a deep, loving, and passionate romance is a fantastic outcome.
The world that the authors create is intriguing and fascinating, the descriptions transport you there and really builds up the story, immersing the reader further into the pages.
This is a great story for readers who enjoy paranormal romance or Hades and Persephone retellings. It’s immersive and unique, and the love story is fantastic!
