Sworn to the Shadow God
by Ruby Dixon
I am frustrated, mad, stressed, and flat out irritated that I read this book. When I read bound to the battle god I wanna absolutely captivated by the world and the characters. Faith has a few eye brow raising moments but overall was a strong, compelling and entertaining character who made a great combination with Aron.
Max was infuriating. Absolutely fist shaking jumping up and down tantrum throwing worthy level of naive and frustrating and absolutely painful. She made no sense and it was almost like she was a caricature of a naive, trusting, optimist quirky girl and it felt so so overdone and just bad. Also this man lied to her for an entire book and she sweeps it under the rug because she understands why. It actually made my brain break. I’m still frustrated. I give it two stars because it was pleasant exploring the world again but that was it. I also really did enjoy Rhagos as a character even though he was selfish and self serving.
