Valour and Vanity by Mary Robinette Kowal

4.0

Back on an upwards swing for this series. Great plotting in this one--describing it in too much detail would spoil it, but I'll say that Kowal really does do a wonderful job of portraying a marriage where it's still romantic and you're rooting for them, but realistic too, in that they have their not-insignificant tensions to work through. It's hard to find stories that go beyond the "happily ever after" of a wedding. If the relationship between the coach and Tami Taylor was one of your favorite parts of Friday Night Lights, you might like this aspect of the series.
