This was actually my first time reading anything by B. Celeste and I must say I was not disappointed. Please be advised that Dare you to Hate me does have a TW: for self harm and while it doesn’t go into extreme detail it still might make some readers uncomfortable.

I thought Ivy was great for everything that she went through and had to go very come she still managed to be strong independent and self reliant. Aiden the boy next door and her best friend and anchor. He always made her feel safe and protected. His house his room his closet was her safe place away from the chaos of her house. Then she’s gone. Fast forward 4 years and they meet again. Ivy is now a shell of who she once was but when it comes to Aiden there is still that spark that safe place she find with him.
