Dear Librarian by Lydia M. Sigwarth
5.0
I don't often write down the picture books I read. I don't think reading Give a Mouse a Cookie, Sleep Train, or any of the other books I read to my grandchildren count for my reading log. But this book was just for me.
I hope that when I was working for the public library we created a home for many people, especially children. We never served a large homeless population, but we did try to make our buildings welcoming spaces.
When I was a child, I could walk to my public library and I always felt at home. Which has something to do with why I became a public librarian.
Thank you to the creators of this book.
