Most Valuable Playboy by Lauren Blakely
4.0

A sweet friends to lovers story about Violet and Cooper, a pair of childhood friends who never strayed beyond friendship until Violet "buys" Cooper in a charity auction of his football team in order to save him from a bind.

Violet, who as we learned in the prequel has always had a crush on Cooper, is surprised when she is introduced as Cooper's girlfriend at the auction and he doesn't deny it, but even more so when he kisses her after the presenter's urging.

The kiss is scorching and manages to bring Violet firmly out of the friendzone in Cooper's eyes, but it takes a while for them to realize that the relationship they're pretending to have to save Violet's shop and Cooper's contract with the team, is more real than either of them expected.

Sweet story with a very likeable main couple. The series continues with one of Cooper's teammate's story in Most Likely to Score.
