sure, there wasn’t a ton of originality to the book — in terms of plot and world building, it was nothing groundbreaking.
it seemed a bit rushed at times, but there was never a dull moment and i got super into it. i finished it in a day which isn’t common for me lol, so that’s how you know it’s fast paced.
i really liked the main characters, especially the protagonist, who i never found myself annoyed with or disagreeing with her decisions (unfortunately rare in a lot of fantasies). i thought the romance was really well done. it was funny at times and the humor didn’t feel forced.
i loved the overall coziness and the magic of it all. the setting was so fun, it was definitely one of the least stressful and more comforting fantasies i’ve read. such a perfect read for winter!
