If you're in the mood for something like "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo," "Great Big Beautiful Life" reads like a paler version of it.
Emily Henry's take does make more out of the writers' lives/subplot and turns that piece into a bit of a romcom, albeit one she's largely done before. (Grumpy, male writer with some trauma + sunshine, female writer with a somewhat recently deceased father and associated trauma/grief + a semblance of forced proximity + a writing challenge of sorts = both of my EH reads to date.)
The way the interviews with Margaret Ives are woven in were a bit of a slog for me though; the pacing ended up feeling more like a disjointed mix of mostly medium and some slow throughout, but a bit fast towards the end.
