Ducks, Newburyport by Lucy Ellmann

I finished this book about a month ago, but the other day while sweeping in the kitchen I found myself thinking “the fact that...” followed by a clause I don’t remember and it brought me right back into the experience of reading this novel. I love a work that forces you to “learn” how to read it, and the fact that (ha!) once a book teaches you its rules, it becomes infinitely more accessible. This one has stuck with me, and I am so glad it has.
