A Question of Holmes by Brittany Cavallaro

4.0

Why doesn’t this series get more hype? It was excellent the entire way through, and I loved this ending. It was a little different than I expected, but still really good. I hope this isn’t the end and we get a contemporary/new adult series of a slightly older Charlotte and Jamie. Even though I liked where it left off, I love both of those characters so much and I want more of them. Their relationship is amazing, and the extra romantic elements in this one were so good.

The mystery in this was a bit different than the other books, not necessarily in a bad way but I didn’t find it as interesting. I did really like that the entire book aside from the epilogue was written from Charlotte’s POV because it was different to see her emotional responses from the inside. It really illustrated how she grew throughout the series, and even though I liked Jamie’s POV as well I thought writing the finale from Charlotte’s was a good decision.

I’m definitely glad that I picked up this series, and I know that I’ll be revisiting it again in the future. It was so good, and my only complaint with it was that we didn’t get more of it.
