Women Who Launch: Women Who Shattered Glass Ceilings by Marlene Wagman-Geller
1.0
I was excited to read so many good stories in this book but was immediately disappointed. Most of the stories were about women who either rose to the top of fashion or beauty industries. What about the first female astronaut? How about talking about some poets or scientists? Additionally, the writing is atrocious. Statements like, “Cheryl was at the top of her class, even though a girl with brains was not the type asked to prom.” What does that have to do with anything? It contributes nothing to her story and is misogynistic.
Please don’t waste your money on this. I should have known better since it was on sale for $5. This is promptly getting thrown out. I don’t even want to try to sell it at a yard sale.
