Mysteries with animals in it is always a fun read. "Curiosity Thriller the Cat" has magical cats Owen and Hercules in it. Smart and intelligent as they are, they help Kathleen in solving a curious mystery by bringing her clues to figure out whodunnit (all while saving her a couple of times through the adventure).
The mischief and fun displayed by the cats make the novel unique and interesting. The novel is a clean cozy mystery, readable to all age groups. The characters are well-developed with sufficient background given to develop an image in the mind while reading it (although I would have loved some more history to the cats as to their magical powers, but maybe that will come by in the coming parts of the series). The story line flows smooth without any roadblocks and is very interesting right from page 1.
The wonderful writing by Sofie Kelly and the descriptive voice of Cassandra Campbell is a perfect combination to heighten the reading pleasure.
A definite read for any animal cozy mystery lovers, I am definitely going for the series of this one. Sofie Kelly has a wonderful series start with this book.
