The Borden Murders: Lizzie Borden and the Trial of the Century by Sarah Miller

4.0

This is a very well researched book with lots of documentation that is written in a very readable way.

I didn’t really know much about the Lizzie Borden case other than the bare minimum before reading this and it was extremely interesting. Still frustrating that there is no clear answer to who committed the murders but I like that the book is very factual and leaves it up to the reader as to whether or not they agree with the not guilty verdict that Lizzie received.

Recommend: 12 and up due to the graphic nature of the murders. While the book isn’t overly graphic, it does describe what happened and there is no way around the gravity of the situation.
