The Night Parade by Ronald Malfi

5.0

A heartfelt story of a father and daughter at the end of the world. Malfi has yet again delivered a horror masterpiece. Told in both past and present timelines, the story follows a father and his almost 9 year old daughter as they flee after an apocalyptic type event. The characters in this book (well all Malfi books) are detailed, richly developed and very real. This book really hits home at the moment given the current pandemic and parts of this story felt eerily scary for that reason. My only criticism of this book is that there isn't enough of it. While it ends in a fitting way, I would love to read a sequel or even a series.

Thank you to Ronald Malfi, the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
