This book was written in an interesting format, alternating between life and death points of view. Even so, it was easy to follow and understand. The author does a wonderful job of making such a heavy but important topic accessible. I always find it difficult to say that I liked a book when the topic is something so terrible and tragic. However, I do like the book because it does shed light on systemic racism and prejudice in our society while also giving us hope for the future.
