The Godfather by Mario Puzo

3.0

Overall, I liked it. I have never watched the movies so I began to read it without any knowledge of the story whatsoever. I liked the story, and the plot twists, it made me gasp a few times.

I have two complaints tho:

1. Lucy's story: Was it really necessary to write a complete chapter about this woman's vagina? And how it was "loose"? Like, sorry, is this the same book I was reading about an Italian mafia in the US? I mean, this chapter just seemed so out of context, it added NOTHING to the story, and it only helped to body-shame Lucy. The description of the surgery made me wonder why I kept reading, tbh

2. Apollonia: Like? Oh forget about Kay, this woman was Michael's love of his life. That appeared literally one second ago. And she was a virgin, and so sexual because she was a virgin (!!) and then she died and never got mentioned once after that. That was... so fucking unnecessary what the hell.

And that's it.
