This book started out so promising! I loved the concept and the setup, but even as a fan of magical realism, this one just wasn’t for me, I think it was maybe too ambitious and got weird more than what I think it wanted to be (profound). I still loved The Midnight Library and Matt Haig’s writing, but this one just didn’t hit the mark for me.
