“It is the truth. Though you needn’t be so suspicious. I did not do so out of the goodness of my heart.” ~ Benedict

“Well, of course not. You would need to possess one of those first.” ~ Thea

Thea and Blockhead, er….Benedict have this long, tedious love/hate relationship. They love to hate each other—or is it that they hate that they might actually love each other?

Thea has sworn to only marry for love, she hates the fakeness of Society, the empty compliments, the disregard for authenticity, affections being given abundantly and profusely. She desires sincerity and loyalty. And Benedict Bradwell is none of those things, he is all the things she can’t stand.

Ben can’t understand what went wrong with Thea all those years ago. They were friends one day and the next…enemies. But when Thea disappears he takes it upon himself to find her and bring her home. Once Ben finds her, he promises to protect Thea from the circumstances that caused her to flee.

I adore these Bradwell brothers! Thea’s and Ben’s story is delightful, funny, and sweet. They are so in love and so oblivious to the fact.

And Henry, oh Henry, my heart breaks for him! I loved his wise words for Ben about waiting too long. Henry knows all too well about missed opportunities and lost love. I can’t wait for him to meet his special someone.
