For the 7th and final book in the series, the only word I can use to describe it is meh.
A lot happened but also not a lot happened? Like it was really slow but also the big battle ended in about 5 pages. Very weird pacing

I really enjoyed reading about Dionysus and Ariadne but their ending was essentially non existent. Why bother having them in the story if you’re not actually going to finish their story?

A lot of things also didn’t make sense? What was the point of Medusa - we had a whole chapter of Dionysus going to find her… and for what? Also you’re telling me Poseidon was no where near the fight involving his son and his brothers? Who will now be King of the Gods? I just have so many questions.

But my biggest issue was all of the triggering scenes. Theseus is a vile creature - no one is doubting that. So why was Ariadne put through all of that on multiple occasions? Honestly it felt like the author was just adding triggering scenes like her smut scenes - everywhere without any real purpose.

And also so many unnecessary deaths? I understand there’s casualties in war but.. for me it felt like the author was just killing off people for *drama*

A disappointing end to a series. Personally, I felt like a true lack of love from the author for this one which is a shame as the other 6 books were decent
