The mystery element really ratched up in this book and it felt like there were some really big stakes on the line. There were definitely lots of hints towards who the killer was which helped me to guess it before it was revealed. Some really tense moments related to this part of the plot as well.

I really liked Tristen and Gabriel, they fit together really well and it was good to show that they could help each other through the bad as well as the good. They trusted each other 100%. It was nice to see Tristan become lighter and get his muse back by the end of the book because he really wasn't in a good head space to begin with. It was also nice to see Gabriel open up and be more vocal than we saw him at the beginning.

Some minor editing issues e.g. the wrong name used or one sentence here and there from the wrong pov.

But overally I enjoyed this book, I really got into the murder plot and I liked that the book club books reflect their lives.
