I definitely count myself as a Lucy Foley fan, and "The Midnight Feast" did not disappoint!

This was a really effective use of the multi-POV style, which can be pretty hit-or-miss for me. But all the perspectives were valuable, and also kept the story moving at a fast and suspenseful pace.

I also thought the twists were great and well-executed; though we know I'm garbage at guessing how these books end, I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong on several counts but still satisfied with how all the relationships/reveals *actually* turned out. There are few things I hate more than shock-value twists that actually make no sense upon further reflection.

And finally, I thought the setting and ~~the birds~~ were quite creepy and set the overall mood really well.

It may not be the most memorable thriller out there, but "The Midnight Feast" is fast-paced, twisty, and a great spooky season selection. It's also very stylistically similar to her other books, so if you've liked other Lucy Foley reads then you should pick this one up!
