She Wants More by Sagan Morrow

5.0

Helen has watched her friend Emma navigate the poly life, and at first, she judged Emma for her choices, feeling it wasn't fair to everyone involved. But the more Emma learned and shared with her friends, the more accepting Helen became of Emma's lifestyle.

But that's not the lifestyle Helen would choose for herself. She's planning her wedding to Ben. But sometimes a man catches her eye, more than a normal glance. Heck, her wedding photographer practically has her daydreaming. But she could never do something so emotionally involved as Emma does. Lifestyles come in all shapes and sizes, a spectrum of various choices that work well for some and not for others. Helen is realizing that there is a wide scope involved in the poly lifestyle. Perhaps open relationships don't have to be as deeply involved as Emma's relationship. At least it's something to think about.

When I first started the series, I felt very luke-warm to Helen, because she had started off as a bit rigid and closed-off. But as the series progressed, and especially now that she is the star of She Wants More, I've come to know her and really like her. While she did play a supportive part in the previous books, getting to know her intimately in her own book, has enabled me to learn more about her and her relationship with Ben.

I feel like She Wants More could be read as a standalone, but you would be missing out on the journey if you didn't read the others first. Because you're watching Emma, Scarlett, and Helen from discovery to practice, the ups and downs, the mistakes and exciting discoveries. This is such a fun read, the characters are great and the storyline is wonderfully engaging. Very well done!
