Elemental Haiku: Poems to Honor the Periodic Table, Three Lines at a Time by Mary Soon Lee

funny informative inspiring lighthearted reflective fast-paced

5.0

This was lots of fun: A haiku (and some extra facts/notes) for each element on the periodic table. Nice bits of chemistry here, with the poems taking on all sorts of different aspects of the elements, from names to their discovery, to uses and properties.

Iris Gottlieb's illustrations ad a simple icon to about half of the elements, based on some aspect or use.

This is an adorable bit of science geekery.
