Overhyped. While I enjoyed the overall story, the politics of the world felt fledgling and convenient. There was no analysis offered for this matriarchal society and I believe the FMC actually justified her court's role reversals with "well, your kingdom does the same to women!". What? Sorry? Yikes.
I would be interested to see where this series goes, but for an established author I'm disappointed with this execution.
