The Great Passage by Shion Miura

3.0

A gentle story, but unfortunately not that compelling. There was one central conflict - whether or not The Great Passages could be completed - but that wasn't enough to keep me captivated by the book. Majime, Kaguya, Nishioka, and the others were interesting, but frankly it felt as though I was observing them from afar, rather than being right alongside them. They were like the people whom you know some things about, but after a few years, you realize you don't really know anything about them beyond the superficial. And with neither a compelling story nor compelling characters, this story fell a little flat for me.
