Why We Sleep: Unlocking the Power of Sleep and Dreams
by Matthew Walker
Quite educational book on how sleep works and why it's so important. Especially the parts about drowsy driving statistics. Some studies I found hard to trast since the sample size was so small so the noise is just too large. One extreme individual can easily skew the average outcome. I also don't like using percents to make something sound more serious. I prefer when authors use numbers consistently 500% more likely is exactly the same as five times more likely but just less dramatic. Still I highly recommend reading this book. I am not sure how much I would enjoy the book if I had problems with my sleep or if my work schedule required me working nights. Reading about all the bad things that can happen to you from the lack of sleep and not being able to change the schedule would probably be very depressing.
