The problem with this series is that it's so da... dang good I just can't stop reading. And then I forget about the other things that I'm meant to do, like eat and drink! Honestly, I got so lost in the story that I've hardly moved all afternoon.
This book focuses more on Josh, and the first few chapters are heavy on the airplane talk. But I really like that. I find that it roots the story firmly in the real world, and really captures how it must have felt during the late 1980s with the threat of nuclear war. It means that when the paranormal elements come in, it feels like they could be real.
I love the links between Greek mythology and Christianity, the idea that the characters are the same people, just with different names is a concept we've discussed at home.
Overall this was a fantastic read. I love the relationship between Josh and Tabitha, of ever soulmates existed it's those two. I also love the relationship Tabitha has with her Mum and step-dad. They are exactly what a family should be.
