A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

5.0

I don't think I've realized on previous readings of this just how beautiful the writing is. This time around, I kept noticing the nuance of the language and how it jumped off the page. It's brilliant.

The story has some great lessons to be learned and it's an enjoyable journey to see Scrooge changing. It does get too sappy for my liking toward the end and loses some of the strength both of the writing and the overall messages, but is still excellent.
