The Last Night in London by Karen White

4.0

A new genre for this author, White succeeded in presenting a readable piece of historical fiction, filled with interesting and strong characters. Precious is 99 years old and ready to tell her story, particularly of life during WWII in London during the early years of the war. In a dual timeline, the present time includes Maddie, an American who was brought to London to tell the story of Precious and Eva, their careers as models, and how the war impacted fashion. Of course, there was so much more to tell, filled with love, loss, betrayal and redemption. Recommended, and thanks to Edelweiss for the ARC.
