I volleyed between a 3.5 and 4-star rating because, quite frankly, I tire of the miscommunication trope, especially when it comes 3/4 into the book. At some point, the two characters must get over themselves and TALK! This book's no different.

At first, I found Briana and Jacob cute. However, into the middle, and dang near the end, I grew bored and frustrated at Briana's lopsided approach to this "relationship" and found Jacob giving more or "showing up" more.

However, it's written well, so I'll give it a 3.75 and I'm good with that. Let's say the diary entries sparked that peace.
