This book captured my attention right away because I recently saw a documentary about the man who walked a tightrope between the World Trade Centers in 1974. The story builds quietly, weaving characters into a larger tapestry. You may not like all of the characters or be able to relate to them but the author allows you to *see* them with a great deal of clarity and no judgment. I found the impact of this book to be very subtle... but it is one that will stay with me.
