cmon_charlie 's review for:
Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass
by Lana Del Rey
As the audiobook doesn't have all of the printed version, I'll give this first a 4 starts review because there were one or two poems which I did not enjoy.
Lana's poetry flows nicely wether by rhymers or loose sentences. For fans of her music or for people who like poetry, I think her poems will resonate because of themes such as a broken heart and its recovery and the themes of self discovery and trust issues.
The audio production by Jack Antonoff makes the experience magical.
My fav poems are:
- LA Who Am I to Love You?
- Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass
- Salamander
- SportCruiser
- Happy
- My Bedroom Is A Sacred Place Now – There Are Children At The Foot Of My Bed
One I did not enjoy at all was Tessa DiPietro.
Waiting eagerly for the rest of the Haikus.
