The Perricone Prescription: A Physician's 28-Day Program for Total Body and Face Rejuvenation by Nicholas Perricone
2.0
A friend gave me this book but I can't say that I am sold on the inordinate amounts of SALMON that Dr. Perricone recommends. In fact, in this diet, you should just eat salmon at every meal!!! Really???
At the time of reading of this book in 2007, I decided to make these changes in my diet as a direct result and to see whether the nature glow of my skin enhances at all. Not sure I experienced much difference, in fact, this was all before I started juicing which REALY helped my skin and body and glow but I digress.
These are the recommendations:
-Wild caught salmon
-Other fatty fish, wild-caught
-Spinach
-More yogurt, plain, Greek Fage
-Fruits
-Turmeric
-Extra virgin olive oil
-Olives
-Tomatoes
-Garlic
-Lentils
I can say that I agree with most of this.I am not big into eating cooked salmon AT ALL. I love it raw of course but it's very expensive and not practical as a regular source of food.
This book may serve as a good reference in the kitchen along with your other cooking books. You can pick up ideas that you can incorporate in your diet in the span of an hour of reading. If your skin starts to glow as a result, all the better. If not, you will just be curious to continue searching for better health and vibrant through other methods.
