More Than Love: An Intimate Portrait of My Mother, Natalie Wood
by Natasha Gregson Wagner
I received this book through Goodreads Giveaway for a fair review. I didn't know much about Natalie Wood besides her movies and her tragic death. The book was heartbreaking. I know how many of us admire celebrities and mourn them when they pass away but I think sometimes we forget that they have families as well and for Natasha and her sister to lose their mother at such a young age in the public eye. It was hard to read at times their struggles and how complete strangers, as good as their intentions may have been, felt as though the can come up to them to talk about their mother while they were still grappling with the loss while still having to share her with the world. It was a good read to see how she and her family dealt with the loss and the continuing fascination with Natalie Wood, and those who keep trying to capitalize on what happened.
