A friend sent me a box of used books and this was in it, and I LOVED this book when I was a child, read it over and over. My copy disappeared at some point, and I've thought all these years it was banned for being racist, which certainly never occurred to me. We used to have two poodles who would chase each other around and around and I used to warn them that they were going to turn into butter, but they paid no mind. (fortunately they never did). I was happy to see it again.
