This is a Hades/Persephone retelling which I didn't realize when I requested it in august. It was fine? I guess? Like it was supposed to be some smutty book, but I can't stop focusing on the rules of the world. Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon are passed though bloodlines but Demeter is democratically elected? Persephone wants to go to UC Berkeley, so the current day US exists? Because I think it takes place in Olympia, Washington? Persephone makes a reference to a Catholic Saint, so even though they're the "gods" Catholicism exists? Also, Hades is like "waaah I rule through fear" and that fear is created by... holding sex parties. I'm so confused I read the entire thing in less than a day. Star Wars exists in the cannon as well???
